How do I install WordPress, suspend hosting or remove a website?

The website overview separates ordinary inspection from advanced actions that can change availability or remove files. A backup action can have a broader scope than the single website currently displayed.

Before you start

You need permission for the exact website operation and a usable recovery plan for existing material. WordPress installation is intended for a new, empty website.

What to do

  1. Open Manage website for the exact domain and check whether it is staging or production, its hosting account and its current state.
  2. Before changing existing material, review Create backup's actual scope and confirmation. An account or hosting-server backup can include other websites; do not mistake it for a single-file copy.
  3. For an authorised installation on an empty website, open Advanced actions and Install WordPress. Review the administrator username, email, private password and website title before submitting.
  4. To change availability, review the offered Suspend hosting or Resume hosting action and its confirmation for this domain. Inspect the final operation result and the ordinary public website afterwards.
  5. Use Delete website only when removal of that website and its hosted files is intended. Read the displayed warning, confirm the exact target and retain the recovery information before submitting.
  6. For installation or removal, inspect Operations and the resulting website inventory before repeating an uncertain action. An accepted action request is not the same as a completed installation or verified public page.

What happens next

You can distinguish a completed installation, changed hosting availability and deliberate website removal from a pending or failed operation. These actions do not constitute a design review or production-release acceptance.

If something goes wrong

Do not install over existing files to repair a layout or assume that suspension removes a website. A missing action can reflect your role or the resource's state. If an operation is uncertain, preserve the current evidence and ask the infrastructure administrator to inspect its operation result before retrying. Never include the administrator password in support messages.
