How do I set up or revoke an SFTP connection?

SFTP connections manages separate file-transfer credentials for the websites and game servers assigned to your identity. A Yasa agent token is a different credential.

Before you start

Sign in to the intended Account identity and have the website or game-server assignment you need. Use an SFTP client and private storage for its connection details.

What to do

  1. Open Account and select SFTP connections. Locate the exact website or game server and check its current connection state.
  2. Use Set up SFTP for the intended unconfigured resource, or Show connection for its active connection.
  3. Review the displayed host, port, username, password, path and host fingerprint. Use Copy connection instructions privately in your SFTP client and verify the server fingerprint before accepting the connection.
  4. Connect to the intended resource and path, then use Hide credentials when you no longer need the details displayed. File changes still require permission for the work you intend to perform.
  5. Use Replace password only when you intend to update all clients using this connection. Review its confirmation and save the new details privately.
  6. Use Revoke SFTP only for the connection you intend to stop. Review the confirmation and reload the list to check its resulting state.

What happens next

The SFTP client uses credentials scoped to the selected permitted resource. Replacing a password requires updating existing clients; revocation stops that file-transfer connection.

If something goes wrong

If no resources appear, ask the infrastructure administrator to check the invitation and assignment. Do not use another resource's credentials. A host-fingerprint mismatch needs verification before connecting. If a connection change cannot be confirmed, reload connections before retrying. Keep passwords and copied connection instructions out of public messages and repositories.
