How do I connect a domain and check HTTPS?

The website domain must resolve to its hosting environment and have a valid certificate.

Before you start

Domain and DNS changes require the appropriate authority.

What to do

  1. Check the exact domain and its current DNS state in the project.
  2. Open Domains & HTTPS and use the intended domain's Open domain link to inspect its managed zone in Cloudflare. Check the selected zone and your permission before changing records.
  3. Resolve conflicting existing records before creating a different target.
  4. Inspect the applicable HTTPS configuration with the domain administrator, then open the ordinary public hostname and check for certificate errors. The Nexus domain link does not by itself issue a certificate or prove public delivery.

What happens next

The domain reaches the intended environment over trusted HTTPS.

If something goes wrong

Do not overwrite an unfamiliar DNS record or disable certificate checks. Report the exact hostname and observed error to the domain administrator.
