Before you start
Use a device and destination where you may safely keep the selected email and attachments. Downloads can contain confidential mailbox content.
What to do
- Open the intended message and review its attachments. Use an individual attachment download or Download all attachments when that option is shown.
- For messages, select the intended rows and open Export. Choose the offered source, Mbox ZIP or Maildir ZIP format according to the tool that will read the download.
- Wait for the browser download to finish and inspect the selected file and format before relying on it. For a size-limit error, reduce the selection and download smaller batches.
- Keep downloaded mail files private. Retain the mailbox originals until you have checked any separately intended transfer or backup.
What happens next
The browser downloads the selected message or attachment files; this does not move or delete the mailbox originals.
If something goes wrong
A ZIP attachment download is not a full mailbox backup. The current selection-size limit and available formats apply to each export. Check browser download permissions and available disk space if no file appears, and contact the mailbox administrator with the non-sensitive error if export fails.
